About USCHPA

The U.S. Clean Heat and Power Association (USCHPA) brings together diverse market interests to promote the growth of clean, efficient local energy generation in the United States. It is a private, non-profit 501(c)6 trade association, originally formed in 1999 to promote the merits of combined heat and power (CHP) and to achieve public policy support for CHP.

The USCHPA documents the benefits of clean heat and power to the public and decision-makers. The association sponsors conferences, workshops, and advocacy events for the benefit of its members and prepares reports and releases to educate the public about clean heat and power. We provide opportunities for our members to network with each other and key government officials.

USCHPA participates in federal agency programs to promote CHP, waste energy recovery, and other forms of clean distributed energy. In particular, we are committed to the CHP Program of the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) and the CHP Partnership Program of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).

USCHPA’s mission is to increase deployment of combined heat and power and waste energy recovery systems to benefit the environment and the economy.

USCHPA’s vision is to be recognized unequivocally as the thought leader and the voice of CHP for the USA.

National Grid (LSE: NG; NYSE:NGG) is an electricity and gas company that connects consumers to energy sources through its networks.  In the northeast U.S., we connect more than seven million gas and electric customers to vital energy sources, essential for our modern lifestyles. In Great Britain, we run the gas and electricity systems that our society is built on, delivering gas and electricity across the country. National Grid delivers electricity to approximately 3.3 million customers in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York and Rhode Island. It manages the electricity network on Long Island under an agreement with the Long Island Power Authority (LIPA), and owns more than 4,000 megawatts of contracted electricity generation, providing power to more than one million LIPA customers. It is the largest distributor of natural gas in northeastern U.S., serving approximately 3.4 million customers in New York, Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Rhode Island.  For more information please visit our website: www.nationalgridus.com
